About the Gallery
Our Vision Our Space
Established in 1961, the Gordon Woodside / John Braseth Gallery is the oldest and one of the most respected galleries in the Pacific Northwest. We are widely acclaimed for the high quality of the objects we sell, our expertise in all areas of contemporary art, from Northwest Artists to nationally and internationally recognized artists and our distinctive exhibitions.

With a distinguished inventory of works by Northwest Masters including William Cumming, Morris Graves, Mark Tobey, Paul Horiuchi, William Ivey, Guy Anderson, George Tsutakawa, Richard Gilkey, Kenneth Callahan, Dennis Evans, Nancy Mee, Ginny Ruffner, etc., we offer the largest and most significant collection of any Pacific Northwest art gallery. Our holdings of paintings, sculpture, watercolors, drawings, and graphics reflect the broad range of movements in contemporary American art.

Gordon Woodside / John Braseth Gallery has served as consultants and counselors to many in the acquisition of art. Throughout our 47-year history, we have enjoyed warm, long-standing relationships with art collectors, museums, and artists. "Discretion, loyalty and honesty are the key to our success." We have been involved in the formation of countless outstanding private and corporate collections of important American art, including those of K & L Gates, Perkins Coie, Cairncross & Hempelmann, Gordon,Thomas PLLC, Shearton Seattle Hotel, Four Seasons Hotel & Residences, PACCAR, The Boeing Company, Safeco, Weyherhaeuser Co., ZymoGenetics, Amgen, Microsoft, Bank of America, Washington Mutual, Swedish Hospital , Northwest Hospital and numerous other major corporate art collections.

Since 1961, we have been instrumental in fostering an appreciation of Northwest Art by lending and donating works locally and abroad, as well as, encouraging our collectors/patrons to loan their treasures of Northwest art to local, national, and international exhibitions and major museums. Open to the public, we regularly mount exhibitions of work by major figures in northwest art, drawn from our rich and extensive holdings of art works.
